Effie Paroutsa is best known for her luminous and inspiring travel photography. She brings a sense of life to everyday scenes by capturing the authenticity of people in their surroundings. With an eye for light and a remarkable understanding of different lifestyles, Effie has an international portfolio including Conde Nast Traveller (Hellas), Geo, Voyager, Passport, Athinorama Travel, Gente Viaggi (Italy), Geotropio, Blue, Gastronomos, K magazine and Kathimerini newspaper among others. She has been recognised for her travel photography exhibitions in Europe and the United States.

She holds a BA in photography from Tisch School of the Arts, New York University, where she was honoured with Founders Day award and Tobias Award. She started her career in New York City as an art director and commercial photographer, to later join forces with international publications on assignments throughout Europe, Asia and Africa.

Effie has been working as a freelance photographer for the last 20 years in New York and Athens bringing her experience to travel and style aficionados around the world. She is currently working on projects focusing on Greek culture and local traditions, work that was recently integrated into 2 books.
